High School Seniors

The University of Maryland has initiated the University of Maryland Incentive Awards Program to recognize and reward young people who want to better their opportunities through a college education. Modeled on a similar program at UC-Berkeley, the program is specifically targeted toward students who demonstrate academic ability, uncommon persistence and maturity despite adverse life situations.

What costs does the Incentive Award cover?

The Incentive Award covers the cost of tuition, fees, room, and board for four years or eight semesters. Students are responsible for purchasing their own books.
